Akshay Kumar's much-anticipated cop film, Sooryavanshi gets a new release date. The action-drama film, helmed by Rohit Shetty is preponed now, suggests reports. The reports say that the makers have moved the release date two days ahead and hence Sooryavanshi will now release on 25th March 2020. It happens to be an auspicious occasion as Maharashtrian's new year, Gudi Padwa falls on the same day. The new date gives the film an extra advantage as it's a holiday release plus an added advantage of 5-days weekend.
Coming back to the film, apart from Akshay, the film also stars Katrina Kaif, Gulshan Grover, Jackie Shroff, Abhimanyu Singh, Niharica Raizada, Sikander Kher, Nikitin Dheer and Vivan Bhatena to name a few. The film was announced in the post-credits of Ranveer Singh-starrer Simmba. Earlier the film-Sooryavanshi was supposed to release on May 22nd on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr however, the makers planned to prepone it to March. And now, they have changed the release date yet again. Well, all we can say that we are happy that Akshay and Katrina are gracing the silver screens two days in advance now.
Recently, in an interview, director Rohit Shetty revealed one habit of Akshay Kumar that will make you LOL. Rohit Shetty was asked to name one actor who forgets his lines, and without batting an eyelid he took the name of Akshay Kumar. Rohit said, "Akshay Kumar forgets his name. Ya, now when we are doing the last schedule in Hyderabad, he will be 'naam kya hai mera? Sooryavanshi'. He forgets everything."
Rohit is known for his humour, it would be interesting to find out if he has dropped a subtle hint from his film or whether that's true.
